What is the business value of participating in Goodmeet @ SALT? Whether they provide sanctuary as a product or service, Goodmeet @ SALT will help businesses to expand their peer networks across silos, industries and cultural divides. Businesses might participate for staff development, market testing, network building, knowledge sharing, R&D, and organizational problem-solving. We expect participants will explore how to design, build, market and administer sanctuary in NYC. Has the effectiveness of these participatory events been tested? Goodmeets are based on participant-driven event formats that have been effectively used since the early '80's. Dozens of these events are happening each year. Participant-driven events like Goodmeets have effectively helped groups from 5-1000 people self-organize and create productive meetings, conferences and get-togethers. Organizations like the Gates Foundation, O'reilly Media, and the American Library Association have hosted participant-driven events. | Give me an example of how this works... There is a particular relationship-building power in making something together and in sharing expertise across industries. For example: imagine staff from a tent manufacturing company, an architect, and a social worker spending a session developing temporary housing for the homeless...perhaps they find a good idea or two, but certainly they have laid a significant foundation for future business together. Participants will be facilitated to during the first hour to create the schedule for the day, turning participants' pressing questions and sanctuary-relevant topics into sessions. What is the business value in participating as a sponsor? See our sponsor page... More Questions?: Check out the general faq for information about what to bring, etc.... Or: contact us.
